A new quick-service, casual dining food chain is in need of a talented Senior Operations Manager / District Manager to start on the ground floor of this exciting and new concept. We seek a passionate, entrepreneurial-minded, high-energy, team-focused leader to join our management team. SUMMARY
This position of senior leadership in the organization will oversee the development and establishment of 3+ restaurants and work with management to achieve sales, profits, customer satisfaction and HR management objectives.
The successful candidate WILL:
§ provide direct management of the restaurant start-up and opening process to include market planning, real estate selection, staffing, and daily operations
§ lead the operational and sales performance of stores within the geographical area
§ promote fast, accurate service, positive guest relations and ensure products are consistent with quality standards
§ have significant input in the establishment of company guidelines and see to it they are imparted and adhered to by all employees
§ help set goals and ensure they are achieved
§ manage operations from the planning / budgeting and marketing stages through the sales efforts including, but not limited to strategic planning
§ identify sales, execution, financial issues/opportunities and develop plans to enhance results and deliver against core business strategies
§ train staff on “best practice” procedures and operate at all times following ethical business practices
§ execute policies and procedures for the control of cash, property, product and equipment
§ manage and maintain safe working conditions
§ grow and develop store managers and specialists across the district
§ interview and recommend management applicants for selection in hiring
§ anticipate and identify problems and recommend appropriate corrective actions
§ ensure food safety procedures are executed according to policy and health/sanitation regulations
§ communicate and deliver financial expectations for assigned district
§ oversee management of food, labor, material costs, and other controllable expenses
§ establish, monitor and report on sales objectives
§ manage relationships with vendors, management and employees
§ contribute to decisions regarding expansion goals of the company to ensure that the company’s growth objectives are met or exceeded with each successful new location
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
§ Bachelor’s degree in Business along with a background in restaurant development preferable
§ Minimum 7-8 years’ experience in multi-unit restaurant experience and/or franchise real estate development experience. Real estate planning, construction management and project management experience a strong plus
§ Demonstrated ability to plan for growth and strong knowledge of financial issues
§ Superior sales skills, strategic planning abilities and broad knowledge of marketing techniques
§ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, a must
§ Willing to assume around-the-clock responsibility for restaurant operations
§ Excellent mathematical/analytical abilities; restaurant PL experience
§ Management or supervisory experience required
§ Proficient computer(MSWord, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), writing and oral communication skills a necessity
§ Must possess a detail-oriented personality with consistent application
§ Strong skills of persuasion and influence; good organizational skills
§ Must be a self-starter
