Restaurant Manager Job in Newburyport 01950, Massachusetts US
Michael's Harborside Restaurant and Pub is seeking a year round Front of the House Manager to join our outstanding team.
We are a 7 day, lunch dinner restaurant situated directly on the Merrimac River in beautiful Newburyport, MA.
SUMMER is coming! We need a high energy, organized, EXPERIENCED candidate who will provide mature leadership with a great ability to multi task and lead our AWESOME staff.
This is a full time manager position whose responsibilities will include supervising line staff, assisting with on-going training of front line staff, and scheduling to provide optimal guest service.
Other important aspects of this position include the ability to:
* Lead by example in professional behavior toward coworkers and guests at all times
* Adopt and enhance the open communication culture
* Maintain positive guest relations at all times
* Support all BOH operations
* Attend and contribute to regular staff meetings
* Facilitate and participate in regular staff training
* Direct staff in maintaining a clean and safe workplace
* Be aware of all Restaurant services/features.
* Work daily to enhance the guest experience.
* Be innovative and progressive in creating ways to improve the Michael's community
Applicants should also work well under pressure, possess excellent
communication skills, be organized, flexible and self-motivated.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar capacity with a strong foundation in customer service.
Must be committed to constantly improving guest satisfaction.
Must be organized, motivated, and a spontaneous problem solver.
Must be mature and flexible enough to communicate effectively with all staff and guests.
Basic knowledge of POS, Micros, Servsafe and TIPS Certification is also
preferred.
Location: Newburyport
Compensation: 40,000 to 42,000 annual + bonus, full benefits supplemented
