Restaurant Manager Job in Northumberland, Tyne-Tees UK
Our Client a luxurious spa/ hotel based in the Northumberland countryside, are currently recruiting for an experienced Restaurant Manager to work within their fine dining area.
We are looking for a professional, organised and hard-working individual to ensure that the Restaurant operations run smoothly on a daily basis from transitions within the kitchen to the restaurant floor including staff control and management.
Job Duties:
- Ensuring that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably.
- Co-ordination of activities to ensure this smooth operation.
- Ensuring that the high standards of food, service and customer satisfaction are maintained.
- Combining strategic planning, shift pattern organisation and daily management activities.
- Planning and coordinating menus.
- Managing staff and responding to customer complaints.
- Meeting and greeting customers and organising table reservations.
- Advising customers on menu and wine choice.
- Organising and supervising the shifts of kitchen, waiting and cleaning staff.
- Checking stock levels and ordering supplies.
- General housekeeping to maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene and health and safety.
Experience/ Skills Required:
- Experience of working within the Restaurant industry.
- Staff management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Efficient, organised, and self-motivated individual.
- Knowledge of co-ordinating the daily operation of a business.
- Passion and drive to succeed.
This is a permanent opportunity based upon 20 hours per week - must be flexible with hours as the business needs.
The salary is to be confirmed at Interview stage dependent upon experience.
