Restoration Services Specialist

The primary purpose of this position is to generate incremental product sales by working closely with restoration contractors and property owners who have a home restoration or repair need. As a part of Lowe?s Restoration Services program, the Restoration Services Specialist (RSS) will serve as the primary point of contact for both contractors and property owners, assisting them with product knowledge expertise as well as product selection and fulfillment assistance. The RSS is expected to develop, grow, and manage the relationships with the contractors and customers within their assigned territory. Examples of projects supported by the RSS include those being restored or repaired as part of a property insurance claim, bank-owned or investor-owned properties being prepared for resale, etc. This sales responsibility requires a minimum of 70% of the position?s time to be spent at customer job sites and business locations meeting with and further developing business customer relationships. 30% of the position?s time is spent at company locations working collaboratively with contractors and property owners, assisting with product selection and fulfillment as related to the defined scope of work. The incumbent will also act as a general sales expert and provide feedback on Lowe?s programs designed to increase sales. The RSS will report to the Manager of New Business Development overseeing this initiative. This position is also responsible for effectively communicating and educating their assigned stores, while actively involving the Regional Sales Director, Market Director, Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, and Commercial Sales team POSITION REQUIREMENTS ? 4-year degree in Business and 4 to 6 years relevant professional/sales experience or 6 to10 years of relevant professional/sales experience. ? Must be eligible to work in the U.S.A. for any employer ? Must pass contingency screenings (background and substance abuse) ? Knowledge of the Insurance Restoration business, including a general understanding of the property insurance claims process ? Effective oral and written communication skills. ? Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. ? Excellent time management/organizational skills. ? Strong leadership skills. ? Required travel ? ability to travel using personal vehicle to meet the requirements of the program as outlined. ? Successfully complete all required training. ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS: ? Must have a complete and thorough understanding of the retail sales industry as well as a special focused understanding of the commercial business industry. ? Knowledge of the Insurance Restoration industry ? Must be comfortable with giving sales presentations to various groups, including potential customers and internal executive management. ? Must be able to read computer screen and printed reports. ? Must be able to communicate orally and with written/printed reports ? Must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite programs and Microsoft Outlook ? Must be able to use typical office machines (phone, fax, etc.) ? Basic mathematical skills for calculating gross profit margin. ? Basic mathematical skills for performing job / material quantity estimating. ? Must have thorough understanding of Lowe?s pricing policy. ? Knowledge of company mission, purpose. ? Comply with all safety procedures. ? Comply with company expenses guidelines NOTE: ?
