Retail Analyst

Our client, based in Hertfordshire, is looking for a Retail Analyst for a special project role. The Retail Analyst will be working with the Senior Retail Analyst on a special project that is proposed to last for 3 or 4 months. The role will be looking for someone that is commercial but has experience of internal audit processes as the successful person will be looking at existing contracts and proving support to senior managers with an eye on efficiencies.

Key details are:
1. Outline of role
- Financial and commercial review of contracts relating to supplier funding and promotional support
- Liaise closely with the Suppliers and also the Finance Team
- Communicate findings to Senior Managers in regular meetings
- Propose and implement improvements to processes and controls going forward


2. Key requirements
- Qualified accountant -  ACA/ACCA (qualified) essential
- Good internal audit experience / compliance experience essential
- Good attention to detail and ability to challenge current ways of working essential
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels, including both Finance and non Finance staff essential
- Previous Retail experience ideal
Good level of commercial awareness ideal
