Most importantly, are you self-motivated and confident enough to contact our existing customers and qualified prospects by telephone for participation in one or more of our special print and digital advertising programs?
The Lincoln Journal Star has an immediate full-time opening within our Retail Advertising Department for an Inside Sales Representative. This position is an entry-level sales opportunity where you can gain valuable hands-on sales experience, key to future career opportunities! In this role, you will handle regular advertisers, including our Religious Organizations and Movie Theatres, as well as assist advertisers with placement for one-time festivals or events. Furthermore, you will grow your outbound calling skills, reaching out to customers to encourage their participation on targeted sales projects. Excellent phone skills, excellent detail orientation and follow through, and sales persistence are key attributes for this role. Basic computer knowledge required, including experience with Outlook, Word and Excel; PowerPoint experience helpful. To be successful at this position, you must have exceptional time management skills and be goal oriented.
