PRINCIPLE FUNCTION: This position provides guests with quality merchandise and excellent service by effectively managing all aspects of the merchandise operation, including, but not limited to, purchasing, inventory control, staffing, training, cost controls, accounting procedures and the operation of all retail outlets. Ensure delivery of client intimate services and achievement of the Brand Promise of ?Craveable Experiences. Raveable Results.? ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver on objectives of QUE³ST and ?Craveable Experiences. Raveable Results.? in all merchandise operations, and fulfill company goals and objectives. Manage merchandise operations to reduce costs, enhance revenues, foster client relations, drive efficiencies and attain growth. Conduct all merchandise operations in accordance with company mission, vision, values, core mandate, integrity and strategic pillars. Drive merch sales at unit with innovation and promotions. Enforce optimization programs at unit. Provide unmatched quality of products and services, innovative products and programs, attain Clients? satisfaction, drive profitable operations and develop exceptional people and their talent. Implement programs to ensure attainment of QUE3ST objectives, attainment of goal to be #1in hospitality and business plan for growth and profit. Implement and measure consistent compliance with company operational standards, policies and procedures. Streamline operations and focus on capturing low hanging fruit. Continuously look for ?upgrade? pportunities. Ensure merchandise operations comply with strategic pillars so that all efforts are to reenergize the brand, execute extraordinary experiences and maximize new business growth. Strive for excellence in all you do. Develop new business strategies to increase market share and improve unit performance. Embrace recommendations of COEs and take action to implement. Establish and meet budgets, forecasts and goals. Ensure adherence to annual budgets. Monitor and measure operational performance against performance goals to ensure that progress is being made and corrective action is taken as needed. Coach and develop the Centerplate Way. Ensure effective training of all employees. Build capabilities of employees. Set clear performance goals for managers. Manage performance of all employees, by preparing and communicating SMART goals to employees that require stretch, measuring performance and communicating progress or opportunities for improvement to provide effective feedback. Recognize and reward excellence. Oversee (with HR) the implementation of HR programs to build critical core competencies and organizational values. Be an effective LEADER and walk the talk. Assist employees to attain goals by empowering employees and providing needed tools to success. Foster teamwork. Timely submit required WOR, reports, budgets and forecasts, and timely perform all audits and scorecards. Evaluate and purchase suitable merchandise, based on guests? and clients? needs. Maintain proper inventory levels. Develop warehousing plan to assure easy access and accountability of merchandise. Develop training programs and train personnel, i.e., guest relations, inventory, cash handling. Develop merchandising plan for all retail outlets. Perform period end inventory. Perform all accounting functions. Maintain product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating customer concerns. Supervise assigned personnel, hire, terminate, discipline, evaluate performance and develop each employee to his/her potential. Recommend and maintain preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the Company. Assist in the maintenance of a security function. Implement and maintain effective communication with the client and all employees. Assist in the development of programs that result in increased customer satisfaction. Manage in compliance with established Company/client policies and procedures. Ensure all cash handling procedures are in effect at all times. Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS Required: At least 3 years experience with merchandising and retail management of multiple facilities. Knowledge of concessions or related work experience. Experience in the management of multiple facilities. Ability to understand written information. Other lifting or physical requirements as added from time to time, or as required to perform the essential functions of this job.
