Retail Manager Job
Mid Size Company seeking Retail Managers to fill positions in the Pacific Northwest and Southeast regions. These positions direct the profitable activities of assigned retail locations to provide the customer with excellent product, in a pleasant, community-centered atmosphere. The position is responsible for oversight of 8-20 employees and analyzing store sales including tracking costs, calculating labor percentages and monitoring P/L statements to utilize when scheduling to maintain control of labor costs. Maintain strict control of inventory levels and ordering as appropriate, preparation of yearly budget and adherence to such, maintaining health standards throughout the workplace, daily deposits and ensuring all employees are in compliance with company standards in all areas. Working collaboratively with multiple departments throughout the company, in a positive manner, to maintain workflow, run stores within company procedures and policies and ensure customers are always given the same level of service by every employee. Work side by side with Human Resources to maintain policy, procedure and disciplinary guidelines and procedures. A successful candidate for this position would be self motivated, self-disciplined, possess good judgment, be an excellent and positive team player, show initiative and lead by example.
Minimum qualifications for this position include 3 to 5 years in retail/hospitality management, proven experience planning and maintaining yearly financial budgets, knowledge of Point of Sale cash register systems (MICROS preferred), clear understanding of product pricing and margins and labor cost controls and working knowledge of Microsoft applications. Proven track record of increasing store profitability in previous positions, working in tandem with other departments throughout a company on a positive level and showing excellence as a leader, mentor and positive role model to staff through coaching and positive reinforcement.
