Our growth has created an exciting and growing opportunity for an enthusiastic, outgoing, and results-driven Retail Planner who will be responsible for ensuring accurate, cost effective and timely forecasting and fulfillment of customer demand at a retail store level. This individual is responsible for the efficient development of a balanced operational plan that takes into account demand and supply constraints for the retail business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead retail store-level allocation and replenishment activities for a defined subset of stores;
- Maintain store-level inventory settings and monitor and adhere to days on hand and in-stock performance targets;
- Participate in the strategic, operational and tactical retail SOP process in order to integrate store-level initiatives, events and issues to the plan;
- Assist in executing store-level promotional activities in partnership with the retail and corporate field organizations.
- Utilize advanced planning tools (DS Retail) in order to execute changes to the plan and refinement of statistical forecast models;
- Develop supply plans based on business rules, lead times, unconstrained forecasts, customer orders, safety stock requirements, bill of materials, etc., as applicable;
- Perform forecast analysis and strategic demand planning to meet business unit, regional and functional group goals and objectives on a national level, as well as statistical reporting;
- Participate in process of validating and/or contributing to identification of key items and priorities;
- Amend forecasting policies to continually improve process efficiency and/or forecast accuracy;
- Implement business rules/practices for the planned acquisition of inventory on a timely basis and in a manner that maximizes flexibility of that inventory;
- For back-order and re-order items, monitor and execute follow-up activities advice and the retail locations regarding timeliness of availability;
- Work closely across functional areas (Marketing, Finance, Sales, Category Leaders, etc) to formulate, implement and execute, forecast continuous improvement strategies and incorporate promotion and event information into demand forecasts;
- Attend collaborative team meetings, provide input, elevate demand issues for discussion/resolution;
- Prepare for daily/weekly management meetings.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing from four year college or university
- 3+ years Industry Experience and/or related experience in demand and retail planning required, preferably in apparel or similar industry.
- APICS Certified in Production Inventory Management (CPIM) strongly preferred.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and monetary units.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Able to apply basic concepts of algebra.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Exceptional organizational skills required. Ability to recognize and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment and diplomacy.
Computer Skills:
- Advanced skills in Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
