Job Purpose A Retail Merchandising Rep (RMR) generates excitement, brand awareness, and increases Epson product sales through training and merchandising. The RMR is responsible for reading all program materials, merchandising Epson products and providing training to retail sales associates. Job Responsibilities Store merchandising and maintenance Replenish POP, paper, ink, etc. Update pricing Remove damaged products Place in new items Sales associate training Build relationships with key department personnel to message product features and benefits Build in-store product knowledge and increase Epson mindshare Effectively build brand loyalty and increase "comfort level" of Epson product Administrative work Complete call reports and timesheets Conference calls with supervisor/others as needed Check voice mails, emails Study product materials to develop product knowledge Review schedule Attend training sessions Job Requirements College education preferred Background in retail and Consumer Electronics desired. Familiarity with imaging solutions and third party labor a plus. Ability to build strong relationships with Store Managers, Store Associates and customers Friendly, outgoing personality; confidence and enthusiasm to engage retail shoppers Great communication skills (i.e. ability to connect with customers and sell products) Basic knowledge of how to use a computer; access the internet; send, receive, and review email; download documents from website or email; submit event reports Professional demeanor Conduct training and demonstration to retail staff Stand for up to 8 hours and actively move around store up to a distance of about frac12; mile (other than legally required breaks/meal periods) to obtain, set up, and clean up demonstration cart and related equipment/materials; obtain product from shelves; conduct demonstration event Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds without assistance Ability to work required schedule for program Access to a computer and a phone on a daily basis Satisfactory completion of background check/drug testing subject to applicable law Other Requirements Must perform the job safely and utilize proper safety techniques and use of equipment when appropriate. Travel Requirements Minimal - up to 5% of time on an annualized basis. Physical Demands Never (0% of shift): Sit, work on unprotected heights, operate mechanical machinery, be exposed to marked changes in temperature and humidity, be exposed to harmful fumes and/or other pollutants, use feet and/or legs for repetitive motion, use hands and/or arms for repetitive motion, firm grasping or fine manipulation and lift and/or carry 51 or more pounds (heavy work). Occasionally (up to 33% of time): Bend and/or stoop, crawl and/or climb, kneel, puch, pull use hands and/or arms for simple grasping and lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds (sedentary to medium work level).
