The EMEA Retail Business works in partnership with clients across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), including Retail and private banks, insurance companies, financial adviser networks and distribution platforms. The EMEA Retail Business is supported by distribution offices in 13 countries.

 

The product range includes open-ended funds, closed-ended funds and alternative investments. The flagship Luxembourg-domiciled BlackRock Global Funds (BGF) is distributed across 36 countries globally and includes a broad range of equity, fixed income, balanced and cash funds.

 

Background to the role:

 

The EMEA Retail Marketing team at BlackRock sets the marketing strategy and delivers client-centred marketing solutions for the EMEA Retail business. The team works closely with its partners in the sales, product and portfolio management groups as well as with other key marketing resources. The team assists in the development of the BlackRock brand messaging in the region as well delivering marketing campaigns and communications for BlackRock's UK and Luxembourg-domiciled product ranges. The overall goals are to support the sales team efforts and achieve brand and market leadership in key asset classes.

 

Within EMEA Retail, the Investment Communications team provides a knowledge hub of creativity and thought leadership, linking marketing efforts with content that the sales teams will find useful in conversations with clients. It is, above all else, a team driven by creating compelling content with an aim to bring the best of BlackRock's intellectual property to our clients and prospective clients.

 

This particular role is integral to BlackRock's EMEA Retail Marketing team. The successful candidate will be an experienced investment writer as well as a problem-solving creative thinker. There are two key elements to the role:

Content creation: Support the Sales, Marketing and PR teams by producing high quality written material, focusing mainly on the production of a substantial number of market and product commentaries as well as regulatory reports produced by the portfolio management teams. The role will also require an ability to produce thought leadership pieces if required.

 

Liaise closely with EMEA Retail Marketing, Retail Sales, Product and Portfolio Management Group as well as other key stakeholders throughout the firm to ensure messaging is consistent, compelling, accurate and compliant whilst delivering seamless brand and product messaging to clients.
