We currently have part-time positions (approximately 35 hours per week) available for Retail Sales Consultants in our Verizon Plus Store located in Long Beach, California.
Responsibilities:
- Sale of network products.
- System inquiry and entry functions.
- Administrative functions relative to ordering, receiving, and maintaining inventory.
- Merchandising.
- Receipt and processing of payments for monthly telephone service, as well as direct sale purchases.
- Opens and processes payments for night depository.
- Operate Point of Sale terminal and balances cash drawers as required.
- Prepares bank deposits, forms, and reports.
- Follows all safety and security procedures as outlined in company procedures.
Skills/Requirements:
- One year of sales and customer service experience within the last five years desired.
- Cashiering, inventory shipping/stocking experience.
- Computer/keyboard skills.
- Requires strong sales skills and providing excellent customer service in a courteous and tactful manner.
Frequent and prolonged standing; frequent stooping and bending. - Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Must be able to read and write legibly.
- Frequent lifting up to 20 pounds; occasional lifting to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work any assigned hours.
- Attend classroom training which may be away from the home location
- College Degree desired. Candidates with degrees will be given first consideration.
- Qualified candidates must pass all appropriate tests, a pre-employment drug screen and a background check.
Verizon Offers:
- Associates may earn an average of $28,000 to $36,000/year (hourly rate plus commission), however, there is a potential to earn $45,000/year plus.
- Part time is between 32-35 hours a week.
- Wage credit may be granted for related experience and/or college degree.

Store hours are Monday-Saturday 9:00am - 6:00pm Saturdays 9:00am - 5:00 pm. Sundays may be required during seasonal events. Candidate must be able to work any shift assigned.
