THE COMPANY:
We are one of the genuine market leaders in the provision of bakery products to retail.
We adopt full UK coverage and cover all areas of retail including major multiples, symbol groups, independent retail and the forecourts sector.
Our specialist area is within “Food to Go” which is one of the fastest growing and exciting areas of retail.
Through continuous and effective NPD we have developed an innovative range of bakery products including bread, patisserie, breakfast products and speciality and seasonal product lines.
Our service levels are as equally important as the quality of our products.
We anticipate an exciting 2012 and seek to further develop our established sales team through the addition of 2 further sales professionals.
THE ROLE:
Within this position you will be responsible for a designated geographical territory containing a portfolio of existing retail clients.
These clients will predominantly consist of symbol and independent retail accounts.
The majority of the role will be existing business with the focus concentrated on retention of accounts and up selling / cross selling to increase spend in each store.
You will also be expected to effectively implement point of sale and promotional activity across your region.
In addition to focus on existing accounts, you will also be expected to develop new business across your region through the addition of new accounts to the area.
This will be achieved through introducing the concept of “Food to Go” to their retail outlets or through providing an alternative to their current suppliers.
THE APPLICANT.
The successful candidate will be have experience of sales into the retail sector.
- Candidates with experience of selling into symbol retail or forecourt will be of particular interest.
- Candidates must have field sales experience and be familiar with a retail environment.
- Candidates must be strong account managers and be experienced at working with branded FMCG products.
- Candidates with strong retail sales training and a passion for food will be of particular interest.
