Job Purpose The Retail Territory Account Executive is responsible for the development and implementation of sales, marketing and product development programs both short and long range. The programs are targeted toward existing and new markets within an assigned territory to ensure client standards are achieved and a strategy is created to establish and increase sales volume. Job Responsibilities Research Development of Products Services Research, obtain and coordinate data and information received from clients and customers to determine best approach to sales initiatives. Evaluate product and service marketability in terms of customers needs. Sales, Strategy Client Management Develop and keep a current knowledge base of new products, services and competitor activity to suggest new methods for sustaining and assisting Clients products to preserve competitive edge. Build rapport and maintain effective communications with ASM management, the Client, and all Customers to facilitate the necessary dialogue that will aid in retaining existing Clients and supporting business development initiatives. Build relationships with clients and key decision makers that ensure all sales assignments are flawlessly executed and completed on time, on target and against client's growth initiatives. Exercise discretion and independent judgment to effectively research and identify opportunities to grow sales within assigned territory through analysis of Client's customers and development of quarterly business plans. Develop and recommend advertising and promotional activities to satisfy Client's sales objectives. Using knowledge base and previous experience, determine marketing strategies that drive product positioning, and awareness that drives increased sales volume. Serve as advisor and decision-maker on behalf of the Client regarding responsibility and oversight of trade funds budget. Actively initiate sales calls and lead sales discussions between clients and wholesalers to ensure sales opportunities of products are exceeding Client's expectations. Partner with senior sales management to negotiate contract terms and service fees; scope of business agreement, any customized services and special business considerations pertaining to Client Sales Agreements.
