Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will provide support for all Walmart businesses including US and International divisions. The Retail Link Sales Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Company’s day-to-day activities involving order management, replenishment and POS analysis in order to achieve company’s growth and sales objectives. A strong emphasis will be placed on thoroughly using Retail Link information to provide analytical insight while adding perspective and value to drive the decisions making and business planning process.
Responsibilities:
· Cross functional responsibilities between Walmart Stores, Inc and Kenney’s business teams.
· Provide timely and accurate data analysis of customer retail POS sales data for trends, sell through, and program performance. Identify new business and promotional opportunities and make recommendations to the sales and marketing teams
· Analyze customer performance scorecard metrics and make recommendations for improvements. Possess extensive knowledge of Retail Link and where to find data to effectively interact and coordinate results with Walmart Replenishment team. Including, but not limited to sales trends and sell through, POS forecast accuracy, store in-stock %, weeks of supply, inventory turns, must arrive by date compliance and lead-time variance.
· Monitor and analyze retail sales rates by store and item, and make appropriate changes to store order replenishment parameters.
· Make monthly customer POS sales presentations to sales and marketing team.
· Make presentations at customer meetings as requested by sales manager
· Own and maintain standard reporting, POS library and presentation library.
· Analyze demand data to prepare unit forecasts at item / distribution center/customer level.
· Coordinate forecast data with inventory planning for production planning and purchasing
· Maintain demand planning database for item and customer program changes: Planogram changes, new and/or discontinued items, running changes, as indicated by Customer Profiles and Engineering Change Orders.
· Post-analyze new program forecast estimates with actual POS sell through.
· Post-analyze forecast accuracy for corrections to statistical models.
· Create reports and analyze monthly actual sales as comparisons to budget and forecast, by customers, and by product lines. Coordinate with sales, shipping, and production departments, on a weekly or daily basis as appropriate
Competencies:
• 3 + years of Retail Link Experience – must be fluent in Walmart terminology
• Superior knowledge of replenishment and forecasting for the consumer products industry
• Highly proficient in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Strong analytical skills; must be able to establish proactive plans based on data and reach conclusion to make recommendations.
• Strong presentation skills and high level of professionalism to interact with customers
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and function in a dynamic team environment
