Post Title: Trainer (Retail / Management/ Customer Service)

Salary:  £22k pa + bonus (please see hereunder)

 

Location / Hours / responsible to:

Summary of role and main responsibilities

 

-        Based at our Huddersfield Learning Centre,  1st Floor, Pearl Assurance House, John William Street,  Huddersfield, to cover business throughout West Yorkshire.

-        Hours of work – Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm

-        Responsible to Centre Manager

-        To provide high quality training and support to learners

General duties and responsibilities

Skills /  Ability /  Communication

 

-        To deliver relevant units of competence and assess learners progress in Apprenticeship’s and other relevant qualifications as required.  This will predominantly be in Management, Customer Service and Retail however other qualifications can delivered in line with vocational experience.

-        To maintain a generated annual income of @ £66k,  with a minimum achieve minimum achievement 65% Apprenticeship and 70% for other training.  The associated caseload to achieve this would be © 35/40 learners.

-        To deliver Key Skills and Technical Certificates when available within the Apprenticeship/ frameworks

-        Carry out 12 learner visits per week as a minimum

-        Prepare course work and compile relevant documentation in a timely and accurate manner

-        Be responsible for the effective use of all resources

-        Assist in the development and delivery of training in both 1-1 and group situations

 

 

-        Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of people.

-        Ability to work systematically and prioritise workload

-        Demonstrate achievement of targets and working to deadlines

-        Able to respond quickly to change

-        Strong written and verbal communication.

-        Outgoing, friendly and confident character, with good perception and motivation

-        Able to respond flexibly to the demands of the role.

-        Be open to Personal Development and willing to undertake further training

Company Responsibilities

Professional Training Qualifications

 

-        To maintain all records in line with YH and YPLA/SFA procedures and requirements

-        To maintain own Continuous Professional Development with the support of YH, ensuring that minimum training hours are met and recorded to ensure knowledge and skills remain current and up to date

-        Be aware of and adhere to Company Policies, practices procedures as detailed in the Employee Handbook

-        Undertake additional duties commensurate with the level and salary step for the role

 

 

-        Training Provider Experience/ Experience of Government Funded Work Based Learning (GFWBL) in alternative setting

-        Vocational experience and knowledge/ proven track record of delivery

-        NVQ Level III qualification in relevant occupational area

-        A1 qualification

-        PTLLS or Learning Development Level III (or equivalent)

-        Full Clean Driving License

-        Access to own vehicle

 

 

 

 

 

Bonuses will then be paid on the following basis:-

Income             

Eg. Additional annual increase of £4k over min requirement of £66k would generate a bonus of £600.

             

 

              Apprenticeship Timely Achievement

Eg. Increased timely achievement of 5% (ie 65% to 70%) would generated a bonus of

£600 (subject to having at least 10 leavers).

 

 

              Recruitment of Learners             

Eg. For 10 new learners recruited by Trainer (includes conversions from 2-3, 3-4, 4-5 etc with no BD involvement) a £600 bonus would be generated.
