Job Purpose:
Revenue Accountant performs monthly sales reconciliation process and assists Accounting Manager in AR related activities while working closely with billing, customer service, and sales in problem resolution. Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management and is responsible for reconciliation of all assigned AR accounts from sub-ledger to general ledger.
Duties:
- Ensure monthly sales reconciliation activities are completed on time and in adherence to finance policies and deadlines
- Reconcile AR related accounts as assigned, work with manager on revenue issues
- Participate in the month end close
- Work closely with other departments to guarantee customer satisfaction
- Manage accounts receivable
- Perform sales commission calculation
- Occasionally assist customers with invoice related questions
- Prepare ad hoc reports
- Journal entry preparation
- Support the annual audit performed by outside CPA firm
Skills/Qualifications:
- BS degree in Accounting, with 1-2 years accounting experience (smart, college grads with minimal experience welcome!)
- Previous experience with Great Plains preferred
- Must have billing/contract experience
- Must be willing to wear many hats in a small, fast moving environment
- Excellent interpersonal and time-management skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, very detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous startup experience a plus!
