Revenue and Billing Manager Job in Waltham, Massachusetts Us
Our client, a fast growing services company, is seeking an experienced Billing and Revenue Manager. This is a highly visible, cross functional role that interacts with all levels and all departments within the organization. You will be responsible for the operational intricacies of billing and recognizing revenue for 450,000+ monthly recurring subscriptions. You will provide leadership to the organization on system functionality changes, process improvements and develop an intimate understanding of our source systems used in billing and revenue.
Major Responsibilities:
- Review/ close monthly revenue
- Manage customer billing processes
- Effectively maintain, modify and recommend procedures to ensure a strong internal control structure
- Provide documentation and analysis for quarterly and annual auditor reviews
- Collaborate with engineering teams on systems and processes
- Lead and manage a team of eight individuals responsible for:
- Assisting Customer Service with customer questions and billing issues
- Researching billing inquiries and conclusions using internal software systems
- Processing customer credits and refunds and communicate with customer support personnel
- Processing daily incoming customer payments and bank deposits
- Reviewing billing inquiries resolved by support for adherence to procedure and documentation of conclusions
Skills and Experience:
- 5-7 years of management experience
- Proven track record of implementing or leading system changes and processes
- High Volume credit card transaction processing (retail or online business)
- Accounting Degree
- Must possess excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Self-starter and proactive team member
