Role Summary
Reports to the Revenue Control Manager in the Operations department, a Revenue Control associate will be involved in revenue control related projects and assisting brokerage team to build reconciliations between GMI and EGUS, among others.
Responsibilities
- Daily and monthly reconciliation of client charges and broker accruals to exchange and clearing fees invoices/reports on global listed derivatives markets. Design/amend reconciliations using Access when needed
- Calculate and journal the correcting entries to client and broker accounts in GMI
- Identify causes of incorrect fee charges and accruals. Liaise with relevant internal area(s) to rectify promptly
- Calculating and posting the rebates (either daily or monthly) and charges (membership connection) to client accounts across various business lines
- Compilations of billing metrics across all markets to indicate our fees differences. Generate corresponding statistical reports
- Handle the stock lending and borrowings fees settlement and repo interest billing.
- Design and run the revenue control reports on each client against markets which we use carry brokers
- Complete monthly operational risks control requirement and documentations
- Document and maintain procedures
- To be involved in revenue control related projects like static data harmonization in GMI, the new commissions and fees tracking tools, to assist brokerage team to build reconciliations between GMI and EGUS, among others
- Communicate and assist Finance to produce the PL reports accurately
Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Computer Science
- Knowledge in listed derivatives and 3-5 years of experience gained from banks or brokerage firms
- Experience of using GMI is desirable
- Intermediate to advanced levels on both Excel and Access. Knowledge in both VBA and SQL are preferred
- Good communication skills
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Financial accounting skills is required
