Join Isilon, the scale out data storage division of EMC, a Fortune 500 company. We work in a fast paced, highly collaborative, technology driven setting. The Reverse Logistics Analyst will have two complimentary functions: The first is to pursue the return and collection of all consumed service parts and defective customer assets used in customer service events world-wide. The analyst will track and insure defectives are returned to the Isilon reverse logistics supply chain and then drive their movement through the Isilon reverse logistics supply chain with the help of Isilonrsquo;s Global Logistics Analyst. The second function will be to insure that these returning assets are properly received and accounted for at our repairing contract manufacturer, duly credited as returned by Isilon finance, and then either immediately moved into the refurbishment process or shipped back for warranty credit to the OEM. This role may also aid the service parts field planner and in insuring customer serial number records are updated after customer service events. This critical role will have a direct and measurable impact on Isilon Services bottom-line. The individual will complement Isilon Service Logistics teamrsquo;s uncompromising focus on taking care of our customers. Responsibilities bull; Work with Isilon Global Services team to drive follow-up on the parts and assets to be returned from every customer service incident. bull; Drive the start-up of, and manage the activities of our external asset recovery service. bull; Track the open and closure of RMA numbers associated with dispatched service parts on all Act to map the customer install locations as set-up in Saleforce.com to our geographic Strategic Stocking Location (ldquo;SSLrdquo;) network bull; Produce RMA open and closure metrics; track units and dollars outstanding, RMA turn-around-time and similar metrics; analyze metrics for trends and publish regular metrics updates bull; Tracks shipment of returning assets and returning defectives to the dock door at our contract manufacturer, provides pre-alerts of units and quantities to be expected, reviews reports to insure all material is receipted and follows-up to drive resolution of any unit or quantity discrepancies bull; Drives closure of RMArsquo;s based-upon the proven receipt of appropriate assets bull; Track units and dollars received at our CM; reviews reports of In / Out of Warranty from the CM bull; Drives return of In-Warranty defectives to the OEM for warranty credit; tracks those return for credit shipments to the OEM, alerts Isilon finance accounting of calculated warranty credit to be expected. Qualifications Candidates for the Service Parts Field Planning and Customer Asset Management Planner should have the following qualifications: bull; Minimum Bachelorrsquo;s Degree; bull; Minimum 5 years experience in Field Planning and Logistics and/or Purchasing or Reverse Logistics; previous experience in accounting a plus bull; Demonstrated ability to operate cross-functionally, especially with Customer Support, Freight Logistics and Contract Manufacturer partners bull; Demonstrated proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce.com or Oracle CRM; bull; Previous experience with international shipping, freight and logistics is a huge plus bull; Solid computer literacy, including excellent Microsoft Excel skills, are a must ndash; solid proficiency with other MS Office tools; good e-mail communication skills bull; Experience with MS Great Plains software a plus bull; Experience in high-tech / electronics / computer industry highly desirable. bull; Obsessive attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
