Summary: 

Working under the Quality and Training department, and along with the reviewer recruitment department, the reviewer training liaison performs and monitors the implementation of new reviewers and new reviewer quality.  This position also assists in the re-training or re-development of an existing reviewer in need of quality support.  The position will also assist in the development and presentation of training programs for peer review operations staff as necessary.

 Responsibilities:

·          Coordinate the assignment of cases to new reviewers

·          Acts as a liaison to new reviewers to assist in the navigation of Peer Review

·          Assists with additional training of existing reviewers with quality concerns

·          Coordinates the review audit hold process, including removing doctors from audit hold

·          Assists the Clinical Quality and Training Analyst with generating reviewer based monthly and quarterly reports for presentation in training classes to staff and the Quality Management Committee

·          Promotes staff development and education by identifying training needs in conjunction with the Clinical Quality and Training Analyst

·          Assists in the coordination, development, and presentation of on-going  training programs for MCMC reviewers

·          Participates in orientation for new peer review operations staff/consultants as requested

·          Assists in the development and revisions of  Quality Department policies and procedures 

·          Documents and responds to customer complaints as needed

·          Assists in the development of product training manuals and programs

·          Participates in client status and complaint conferences as necessary

·          Assists with the creation and implementation of action plans in response to identified areas of improvement

·          Supports reviewer relations

·          Performs other duties as required

 Qualifications:

Skills

·         Excellent written/verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills

·         Excellent presentation skills

·         Excellent attention to detail

·         Computer literate

Requirements

·         Active RN license required

·         BSN or equivalent preferred (4+ years course work and/or industry experience preferred)

Experience/Education

·         3+  years clinical experience in acute care setting preferred

·         3+ years industry-related experience (UR or Disability/ Workers Comp/ Risk/ QM/ QI  management) preferred
