HR Reward are part of the wider AXA UK Corporate Centre function which manages the Annual Pay Bonus review (employee and executive), Shareplan, flexible benefits, Car scheme etc. Wwe have several projects looking at various elements of the reward package with a view to align them to meet business needs.
The role
The Reward team has a opportunity for an experienced and motivated Reward Consultant with good working knowledge how to manipulate and analyse data. The applicant will be expected to work on projects including reviewing our existing arrangements, conducting external benchmarking, engaging/managing key stakeholders, making recommendations for action and implementing approved changes.
In addition you’ll be expected to provide specialist advice and support on procedural implications of current Reward policies to customers, contributing to the research and development of new or revised polices.
We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who have experience of implementing one or more of the following:

You will be required to:
- Undertake assignments, as directed, researching opportunities and contributing to the development of policies within reward
- Manage key stakeholder groups, producing reports summarising research findings and recommending options for change
- Communicate interpretation of reward policy to line mangers and Human Resources Business Partners
- Establish constructive working relationships with appropriate professional entities and industry ‘network’ contacts in carrying our research assignments
- Develop and maintain a high level of understanding of the policies, operations and systems of business areas
- Provide project/implementation support to other areas of HR and the business
- Provide advice, guidance and support to less experienced team members.
Skills, Knowledge and Behaviour
- Oral Written Communication – Resolves customer enquiries clearly and concisely and in an appropriate manner. Ability to build good working relationships with customers and/or suppliers
- Presentation/Facilitation –. Uses a range of presentation / facilitation techniques to convey / gather information.
- Project Management – Plans and controls activities to achieve objectives within timescale and budgets.
- Procedural/Service Knowledge – A very good knowledge of HR Reward procedures, practices and processes and the ability to initiate improvements. An understanding of HR Reward policies and guidelines in order to answer a range of customer queries.
- Organisational Awareness – A good understanding of the structures and main operational activities of the business area. Readily identifies contacts to obtain relevant information and identify best practice.
- Environmental Awareness – A good understanding of the environment in which the business operates. A good awareness of the likely impact of social, economic/statutory and regulatory change on the services provided by the business area and how such change may affect the customer.
- CIPD Qualified or studying towards / or specialist Reward experience.
- Excellent Excel skills - including use of formulas (pivot table, vlookup, if/and formulas)
- Attention to detail
