Ericsson Services, Inc. is looking for an highly experienced RF Services Engineer to manage CDMA and EVDO performance in the Oklahoma market. The engineer will provide well-grounded assessments of network performance based on analytical analysis from statistical and drive test data. The assessments will be used to optimize the macro network and DAS/BDA deployments through RF design, system parameters and system integrations. The engineer will have extensive knowledge of BTS equipment such as radios, amplifiers and duplexers in order to optimize the RF link budget. The candidate will have excellent written and verbal skills to effectively coordinate action between groups such as Field Operations, Site Development, FNE Operations, Service Assurance and RF engineering colleagues. The engineer will work independently and always meet commitments. Responsibility: The RF Engineer III will be responsible for: • Analysing issues related to an EVDO network such as: o Low DRC o Low Throughput o Connection Failures (Access Failures and Capacity Issues such as MACID, CE, etc.) o Connection Drops • Integrating and optimizing new CDMA and EVDO carriers • Optimizing CDMA and EVDO parameters • Integrating new sites for CDMA and EVDO • Creating, analysing and providing recommendations based on pre-post reports • Troubleshooting of network customer tickets for the assigned area. • Developing funding proposals for optimization of new and existing sites Qualifications: • Proficient with the drive test, post-processing and coverage tools Invex NXG, Agilent pilot scanner, Windcatcher and Planet • Proficient in using the tools such as a spectrum analyzer and BTS tester.
