A TS/SCI clearance is required. Duties: Applies and uses knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) antenna and wave propagation theory, DB (Decibel) gain;/loss, atmospheric effects, power emission/consumption, spectrum management and interference, Direction Finding (DF) techniques, multi-path impact causes, and mitigation strategies; conducts vulnerability assessments of RF bench test equipment including RF receivers, hand-held spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and frequency generators; develops concepts, designs algorithms, and prototypes RF systems; constructs expedient antennas and uses RF bench test equipment including RF receivers, hand-held spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and frequency generators; maps and configures RF networks; employs communication systems including satellite, global System for Mobile communications (GSM), High Frequency (HF), Very High Frequency (VHF), Ultra High Frequency (UHF) and Super High Frequency (SHF) RF systems, and Global Positioning System (GPS) devices; analyzes and assesses risks in order to recommend systems based on requirements and specific environmental factors; participates in the CI and HUMINIT operations cycle; travels on temporary duty (TDY) to CONUS and OCONUS locations. Essential Job Functions Coordinates the installation of highly complex voice and video telecommunications equipment and peripheral devices. Oversees site preparation activities including conduit, power, and signal cable runs. Analyzes, tests and repairs voice mail network alarms, file systems, disk drives and networking for multiple network designs, software versions and hardware platforms. Integrates, installs, and tests complex telecommunications systems in accordance with applicable standards. Provides technical support for a wide variety of telecommunication systems to meet business needs. Maintain modems for remotes and wide area linkages to meet business needs. Performs highly complex hardware and software configuration and setup of voice and video components. Recommends configuration process changes. Documents problems and/or other matters of significance, customer configurations, change requests, and other topics to ensure appropriate response. Makes recommendations to management and. when approved, implements solutions in order to provide high quality customer service. Collaborates with support personnel in investigating and resolving complex customer telecommunication network matters of significance. Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Qualifications Basic Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. Six or more years of experience in system design or management information systems Experience working with technical and operational capabilities and implementation procedures Experience working with PC communications and configuration of network cards Experience working with network cabling practices and procedures Other Qualifications TS/SCI clearance required Good analytical and problem solving skills to find and correct errors in the telecommunication networks Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members Leadership skills to coordinate projects and provide assistance to less experienced personnel Strong communication skills Collaboration skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Remote Work Authorized: No Relocation Assistence: Not Available Clearance Level: TS/SCI
