Pharad, LLC is a leading developer of state-of-the-art antenna, photonic and wireless communications products. We are seeking an RF/Microwave Engineer to join our highly skilled engineering team to support the development and implementation of our unique technology solutions.
Summary:
The successful candidate will possess a diverse skill set for developing and testing radio frequency, microwave, millimeter-wave and photonic circuits and subsystems for analog and digital applications. The candidate will collaborate with other engineering disciplines and provide support to Manufacturing for new and existing designs. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
Participate as a member of the engineering team that designs, develops, prototypes, and tests our advanced products.
- Develop design specifications for RF and microwave products.
- Propose designs and alternatives to meet requirements.
- Test and evaluate the performance of RF and microwave prototype assemblies and product hardware.
- Debug designs and collect data to assess design robustness.
- Develop test plans and test procedures to validate the performance of designs.
- Develop instrumentation control software.
- Model, simulate and evaluate the performance of RF/microwave systems for a variety of wireless communications applications.
- Participate in design reviews, and assess ability of designs to meet requirements, including manufacturability.
- Complete assignments within established schedules and budgets.
- Support interactions with customers.
- Transition designs
Qualifications:
- MS or BS in Electrical Engineering with equivalent experience (5 years)
- Broad understanding of electromagnetic/RF/microwave circuit and system concepts
- Demonstrated application of RF/microwave design principles and techniques
- Demonstrated experience with a range of RF/microwave test and measurement equipment including common laboratory prototyping tools
- Experience in practical implementation of RF/microwave circuits and systems
- Experience with basic laboratory and numerical simulation programming languages and software packages (MATLAB, LABVIEW, C, …).
- Experience in using microwave circuit CAD tools and/or full-wave electromagnetic analysis tools
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify problems and solutions
- Must be a self-starter, motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Possess a strong work ethic, be goal oriented, and a team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize and finish tasks.
- Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
