RFP SPECIALIST
Description:
A new and exciting position is now available within a leading investment management organisation for an RFP Specialist to join their Edinburgh based office. Within the role you will respond to new business and client maintenance requests with timely, high-quality documents
All applicants must have previous RFP experience.
Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate, complete first drafts and polished final submissions that successfully move the firm to the next stage of the client’s selection process.
- Implement the team’s best practice proposal process in each project, applying it appropriately depending on the complexity of the individual project.
- Review all documents relating to new projects when assigned, to identify and capture all relevant requirements.
- For RFPs and other complex submissions, arrange a strategy development (kick-off) meeting and invite the appropriate participants in the process from Sales and Product Management.
- Work with Product Management and other business partners (e.g. Performance, Legal, Compliance) to prepare detailed proposal content (including Executive Summary, Cover Letter, Responses to Questions (text and/or data), Appendices and Attachments) that supports the agreed strategy.
- Provide a full response for each question, customizing as necessary to directly address the client’s needs and requirements as identified in the strategy development meeting.
- Adhere to agreed dates in the project timeline (or informal project plan), or advise Proposal Supervisor/Regional Manager in advance if challenges may arise. Ensure on-time delivery of each submission according to recipient’s requirements for electronic and/or hard copies.

- Self-starter with strong work ethic and genuine interest in learning.
Core Requirements:
- Demonstrated asset management proposal experience, preferably in a global environment. Additional general financial services or asset management experience is highly desirable.
- Detailed understanding of institutional and retail asset management, plus good knowledge of financial markets globally.
- Broad product knowledge, across equity, fixed income, real estate and alternatives.
- University degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint the RFP KnowledgeBase (Qvidian Software).
- CFA or other professional financial qualification or equivalent knowledge desired.
