RFP/Investment Writer recruitment
Eastspring Investments is a leading asset manager in Asia, with approximately US$80bn of AUM. We have operations that span ten markets, with investment teams in eight countries, including our Singapore regional hub. Our Asia-based investment teams manage assets across a broad range of investment strategies for both Asian and non-Asian institutions. With over 17 years of investment experience in Asia, we are the Asia Investment Expert the World Trusts.
In February 2012, we rebranded the Singapore office of our Asian asset management business from Prudential Asset Management (Singapore) Limited to Eastspring Investments (Singapore) Limited. The name Eastspring Investments has created a single, unified brand that will allow our Institutional Business to expand beyond Asia, while remaining a proud member of the Prudential plc (UK) family.
Eastspring Investments Institutional business currently manages approximately US$5.7bn of assets for a range of central bank, sovereign wealth fund and pension fund clients. The core distribution team of is split between Singapore and Hong Kong, with additional support in the form of coverage for Korean, Taiwanese, Japanese, Malaysian and Middle Eastern prospects being coordinated by respective on-shore teams. We also work closely with our US and European affiliates in order to maximise the coverage of our opportunity set.
An aggressive expansion strategy is currently underway for the Institutional business. We are actively looking for a RFP/Investment Writer to work in our Institutional Marketing team, based in Singapore.
The role
The primary responsibility of the RFP/Investment Writer will be to coordinate the technical writing requirements of the Institutional Business. This will include:
- Request For Proposal
- Request For Information
- Questionnaires
- Due diligence documentation
- Thought leadership / research pieces
- Ad-hoc writing requirements
The new hire will also be expected to work in conjunction with the Research Manager (based in Hong Kong) to assess opportunities that arise from mandate / RFP wire services.
There is a requirement for the Institutional Business to produce thought leadership pieces. The Investment Writer will be responsible for project managing this requirement in conjunction with respective investment teams.
The RFP/Investment Writer will also be responsible for overhauling and upgrading our RFP software, which acts as a central repository for RFP answers and is accessed by a number of teams within the business. We currently use “RFP Machine”, but intend to migrate across to “Sant”. This project will be critical as the wider business depends on the accuracy of this content.
The candidate
The candidate should be a self-starter who has the ability to use his/her own initiative. This is a role that requires the individual to provide support on a broad range of technical writing activities, often across multiple jurisdictions. It is therefore very important for the candidate to be organised and methodical in his/her approach to tasks.
The candidate should be highly motivated and be able to manage multiple projects within strict deadlines. Frequent interaction with a range of internal teams is required – therefore, a personable team player with an execution focus is preferable. Communication skills are extremely important, as we are looking for a candidate with the ability to build and maintain relationships with both Product Specialists and Sales Directors. The candidate will also be expected to build good working relationships with wider teams such as Compliance, Performance and Operations.
