Position Summary:
- Coordinate the right of way permitting process with entities desiring to encroach upon KPL easements.
- Coordinate with local operations regarding encroachment and one-call issues; coordinate with project managers to determine right of way services.
- Enhance and maintain property line lists.
- Obtain permission from property owners and regulatory authorities for access/entry.
- Coordinate and settle damage claims, review title examination and negotiate rights of way.
- Execute the acquisition of real property rights.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of pipeline or utility right of way experience
- 3+ years experience in title review and examination
- Microsoft Office literate and the ability to learn proprietary programs and databases
- Ability to comprehend and modify right of way documents, determine legal descriptions and pull title documents on various property types
- General real estate and due diligence knowledge
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Position requires a valid driver's license
- Some travel is required up to 30% - including overnight travel.
Preferred:
- Ability to comprehend and modify right of way documents, determine legal descriptions and pull title documents on various property types
- General real estate and due diligence knowledge
- Right of way experience (pipeline or utility)
- Experience in title review and examination
- Basic courses with the International Right of Way Associations' technical training curriculum
- Experience in real estate and real property land rights
- Experience in claim settlements relating to property damage
- Familiarity with agency permitting
