Risk Analysis Manager

My client is a top tier US investment bank. A London based opportunity exists within a new team which supports Enterprise Stress Testing for non-US Subsidiaries across Europe , CEEMEA and Asia.

The Enterprise Stress Testing (EST) group is a core business process at BAC that resides within Global Risk Management. EST communicates stress scenarios and works with the line of business, finance, and risk leaders throughout the organization to analyse the impacts and ultimately report stress scenario results.

Responsibilities

The Risk Analysis Manager will play a role in the execution of internal and regulatory related stress tests. This role supports the end-to-end EST process related to the balance sheet, capital, and liquidity.

Key areas of responsibility for this role include:

• Assisting in the management of the stress testing process across all business lines.
• Ensuring stress test requirements are correctly interpreted. This involves working with other departments, including Economists, Regulatory relations and Corporate EST, to develop quantititative and hypothetical scenarios; and assist in driving out the consistent use of defined economic and market assumptions across Businesses and portfolios.
• Ensuring all risks are captured and modelled appropriately.
• Performing detailed review of stress test results and conducting attribution analysis.
• Working with key points of contacts in Market, Credit, Operational and Liquidity Risk to execute, analyse and challenge stress test results.
• Liaising with key stress testing stakeholders in Economic Capital Management and Finance.
• Creating management summaries and results presentations for presentation to and discussion with senior management, regulators and other key stakeholders.
• Working with Corporate EST and the business lines to drive continuous enhancement of the stress testing process and enhance stress testing scenarios.
• Working with line of business risk teams, risk data teams, and prudential reporting teams to interpret regulatory data submission requirements for stress testing; assist in the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of submission processes for regulatory stress testing data; and form part of the quality assurance and review process for regular stress testing data submissions.
• Develop/enhance the reports and assist with ad hoc projects for senior management.
• Working with the Corporate EST, Regulatory relations, and line of business risk teams to develop regulatory communications and responses, prepare materials and briefing for regulatory meetings, and co-ordinate responses to RMP actions as required.

Requirements

Essential:

• Exposure to a Risk Management discipline in any front office or support partner role in Investment Banking - this should include some experience of dealing with the impact of regulatory change on stress testing in an Investment Banking environment
