QIC currently has two full time opportunities for Risk Analysts to join our Corporate and Operational Risk team.
Reporting to the Senior Operational Risk Analyst, your role will span key areas of Risk Management, Business Continuity Management and Governance.
Specifically your focus will be:
- Challenging front office teams on the management of operational risk;
- Assisting the development, management and implementation of effective operational risk management and business continuity frameworks;
- Executing operational risk management processes including monitoring, resolving and reporting breaches and operational risk issues, and testing internal controls; and
- Acting as a strategic advisor to internal stakeholders by providing sound advice and assistance with implementing initiatives to build internal risk management capability.
To succeed in this role you will be an exceptional team member with a natural enthusiasm for financial markets, and must possess the following attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications with strong experience in the financial services industry;
- Sound knowledge of financial services operational risk and compliance best practice, across front, middle and back office operations;
- Proven ability in identifying, analysing and proactively resolving issues that impact on an organisation’s operational risk and compliance obligations;
- An understanding of legal and regulatory requirements relevant to investment activities and funds management;
- Demonstrated ability to manage work both autonomously and knowledge share as part of a team to achieve deliverables; and
- Strong attention to detail, methodical, and ability to succinctly articulate complex matters in both written and verbal communications.
