Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing complex analysis and modelling of large data sets to evaluate risk exposures, ensure data quality, and mitigate operational losses
- Interact with Credit Officers, Middle Office Managers, Operations, and Technology areas to document necessary changes/enhancements needed
- Involved in business requirements, process design and re-engineering, problem solving as it relates to the Credit Risk Middle Office .
- Work with team leaders and technology team to streamline processes and enhance data integrity and control
- Interact with wider team regionally, and globally.
- Act as a knowledge source for credit risk systems to improve the quality, granularity, and timeliness of reporting.
- Participate in creation and dissemination of metrics and reports
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Economics or Financial Quantitative Analysis.
- Experience with or knowledge of trading products in capital markets (credit, rates, equities, commodities, or structured credit)
- Ideally you will possess technical skills including experience using MS Office, SQL, and Visual Basic; or willing to develop this skill set
- Highly detail oriented and organized - candidate can identify and resolve issues quickly and accurately
- Quick learner and self starter - works on own initiative
- Strong communication skills required. Ability to influence stakeholders and navigate team successfully through challenging times
- Effective time management skills
