Risk Analyst- Credit/ Data

Report development and enhancement will deliver efficiency and ensure that all reports are delivered to a very high standard. It also allows for the transition f new reports into BAU.

· Ad hoc reporting can come from senior managers internally of from the FSA. FSA requests can be very time consuming and need to be delivered in short time frames.

· Concentration reporting, including SNC and sector report monthly report, and ad hoc analysis to contribute to appetite paper for sectors and asset class.

Key Responsibilities - Provide an outline of the key responsibilities required as part of this role.

Delivering timely and accurate regular reports

· Deliver high quality input and analysis into the Group MIB Credit Risk Concentration Reporting.

· Ensuring reports provide insightful analysis and commentary on key portfolio and MI trends.

· Ensure analysts are engaging effectively with Credit teams to ensure significant improvement to the analysis and related commentary/information shown.

· Ensuring timelines and expectations are regularly communicated to report recipients.

· Consolidate industry sector analysis and insight

· Engagement in other Group projects to provide expert knowledge as required

· Contributing to concentration appetite reporting

Report enhancement, report development and ad hoc reporting

Setting clear, measurable near term goals and deliverables

· Engage with other areas of RISR to ensure that the wider MI agenda covers all our stakeholders reporting requirements

· Set short term measureable goals for all projects and monitor accordingly

· Ensuring sufficient technical skills and data/systems knowledge within the team.

Meeting and exceeding customer and stakeholder expectations

· Customer Delivery: Ensure Credit portfolio teams are accountable for their delivery of commitments to key stakeholders

· Reputation: Build, safeguard and uphold the reputation of RBS Group across all stakeholders: investors, press, politicians, public, staff, clients, etc.

· Regulatory Relations: Act as senior interface for the Group as required with regulators, industry associations, policy makers, etc. Ensure relationships are open, transparent and in good faith


Essential

· Minimum of 5 years banking/financial services experience

· Strong analysis skills; ability to efficiently interrogate, manipulate, analyse and validate large volumes of data with the aim of delivering meaningful management information and valuable insights into key credit risk drivers and their impact on the Group

· Strong verbal communication ability, enabling the delivery of confident and clear guidance and support

· Business writing ability, enabling communication of complex material to a wide audience

· Credit analytical skills

· Knowledge of credit risk principles and credit risk management and mitigation

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and interact with several different levels of management.
