Risk Analyst recruitment

UK Retail Operational Risk is responsible for the management and monitoring of fraud losses on Retail Banking products and developing strategies and solutions to reduce losses.  It's an extremely fast paced environment that develops key skills in analysis, project support and understanding of risk systems and strategies.

As Risk Analyst you will facilitate effective Fraud Risk Management by the identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring and reporting of fraud risk, in particular through the delivery of accurate, timely and meaningful analysis and MI to assist decision making and identifying existing and emerging fraud trends. You will be monitoring and analysing fraud processes and strategies and will be involved in the on-going enhancement of the MI reporting suite as well as the evaluation of new data sources to improve fraud prevention.

You will have well developed numerical and technical skills and be educated to degree level. A good understanding of the use of database systems along with risk management tools and techniques, such as credit scoring systems, statistical data modelling, data mining, and behavioural scoring systems is required.  Experience of operational procedures, processes and how they impact fraud risk as well as strong PC and software skills, use of databases, spreadsheets etc.  Ideally you will also have the ability to use a technical query language, such as SAS or SQL (desirable but not essential).
