Risk Analytics technical Business Analyst recruitment
Our client, a top tier bank is seeking business analyst with good development skills to join their risk Analytics team in the middle office. This is an opportunity for developers to become more BA focused or for technical BA's to strive.
You will be part of a dynamic team working on improving and enhancing the banks risk booking system and analytics engine. The ideal candidate will have development skills in either Haskell, .Net and / or C++, Excel VBA skills and knowledge around databases and data structures. You will be tasked with upgrading and enhancing the existing systems as per a range of different user requirements. Therefore you will also need very strong user facing and communication skills, and have experience in understanding and gathering requirements. This is a great opportunity to be an integral bridge between the business and IT and to build further knowledge in each area.
Responsibilities
- To comprehend the booking and analytics system/functions in depth to enhance control in both.
- To continue develop product and business specific knowledge.
- To develop and deliver in house tools and reporting using system functionality and proprietary language.
- To keep up with latest framework development/ new features.
- Oversee the impact of the new platform on MO process, and in coordination with team on how the tools and processes will need to be amended
- To perform analysis and assessment on various business processes as well as system linked processes
- To undertake various challenging and complex tasks/projects and ensure expected outcome and objectives are achieved.
- To understand and gather ongoing requirements from product control and other user bases.
Requirements
- Development and functional experience in finance and business processes
- Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering
- Development experience in Haskell, .net and C++, Excel VBA skills
- Ability to write queries, packages, stored procedures using PL/SQL
- A basic understanding of static data with relation to derivatives
- An understanding of data structures
- Database administration or development experience, ETL tools an added advantage.
