Risk and Finance Director
The Risk and Finance Director will play a significant role in shaping the development of the organisation, from launching the product through to establishing the brand as a “go to” name within the SME lending market. As a member of the senior management team you will be a major contributor to decision making for a wide range of key areas, including product development, strategy and marketing direction.
With responsibility for creating a risk framework and embedding robust financial practices, you will own and define the risk function, policy and strategy, ensuring that policies and processes are implemented with all new and potential customers. You will also need to plan and forecast the organisation’s liquidity requirements, building strong working partnerships and leading negotiations with the liquidity providers. Furthermore, you will lead the relationship with the regulator and ensure that regulatory compliance is achieved and maintained.
You must be a highly experienced, seasoned credit risk practitioner, with extensive experience of assessing commercial credit transactions and a thorough understanding of the complete credit life cycle, from customer acquisition to workout. You will need the stature and credibility to inspire confidence with all stakeholders - internally and externally - but also the pragmatism to be very “hands on” within the business.
