Risk Architect: Boston Finance recruitment

A global leader in the financial services industry is seeking a Risk Architect to build the tools and infrastructure that are used to measure, analyze and manage key risks, principally in the firm's trading and asset management businesses. These systems typically rely on quantitative models to estimate losses and other outcomes in the presence of uncertainty. They also rely on architectural features necessary for managing extremely large data sets and computations. In addition to being important inputs for senior management, the risk measures produced are also key inputs in determining the firm's Regulatory Capital reserve.

This “hands on” Architect must be a highly specialized, technical expert in enterprise architecture, design and implementation within the financial sector, especially in risk analytics, credit risk workflow, limit management and integration.

The ideal candidate will be strong advanced in Algorithmics, Risk Metrics, Murex, and Calypso. Being fluent in J2EE with a background in Oracle databases is a major requirement. Managing and mentoring junior risk analysts and database developers globally, the ideal candidate will be asked to be responsible for project execution as well as technical design implementation effort.

If you are looking for a “hands on” role, where you have the opportunity to manage junior architects, then this is the position for you. If this is a position you are interested in, please upload your resume to Thomas Arrigg and his team at Huxley Associates in Boston.
