The Project Assurance Practice within Risk Assurance (IT and PA) will provide a broad range of assess, recommend, and delivery services related to processes, risks, controls, principles, and methodologies that establishes program and/or project successes. This practice will focus on assisting clients in ensuring success of their strategic change initiatives such as: ERP implementations, Technology Infrastructure Transformations, Mergers, Acquisitions, Business Integration, Shared Service Development and/or Consolidations, etc., which often times includes significant investments in resources and impact a variety of functions within the organization. Services include:
- Project Risk Assessments, Audits, and Health-Checks
- Pre, Post, Go-Live Assessments
- Project Governance Reviews
- Project Quality Assurance
- Program/Project Management Office (PMO) Implementation and Delivery
- PMO Effectiveness Assessments
- Benefits Realization Assessments
- Project Management Training
- Program and Project Management Oversight
Knowledge Preferred:
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of, and/or a proven record of success, applying core project management processes as defined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) developed by the Project Management Institute (PMI);
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge with performing assessments, developing project management and assurance strategies, conducting program and project related assessments, and recommending solutions to improve management and provide for project and success;
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge serving in a leadership role (i.e., project lead, project manager, team leader, functional specialist) on a large complex programs and/or projects (i.e., project lead or workstream leader in software implementations);
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge and thorough exposure to the common business issues facing clients who provide products and services in several service sectors: Insurance, Banking, Investments, Manufacturing, Retail, Technology, Media and Entertainment, Utilities, Energy, et al;
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of creating proposals and performing pursuit management activities including leveraging negotiation skills to develop compelling value-added business cases and/or win proposal bids; and,
- Obtained one or more Advanced degrees, i.e., Masters in Business Administration and/or technology related field

Skills Preferred:

- Demonstrates extensive ability, and/or a proven record of success with developing project management strategies that assist clients in achieving project success, as well as conducting program and project assessments;.
- Demonstrates expert ability, and/or a proven record of success with
- Demonstrates extensive ability to utilize project management software and technologies, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, CA Clarity, etc.
- Demonstrates extensive abilities with, identifying and addressing client needs: developing and sustaining deep client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection.
- Demonstrates expert ability and/or a proven record of success as a team leader, which includes the following: leading teams to generate a vision, establishing direction and motivating members, creating an atmosphere of trust, leveraging diverse views, coaching staff, and actively promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
- Demonstrates proven extensive ability to develop strategy; as well as write, communicate, facilitate, and present cogently; to and/or for all levels of industry audiences, clients and internal staff and management, especially very thorough report-writing skills.
- Demonstrates extensive ability and a proven record of success leveraging system development life cycle principles, application lifecycle management tools and methods, as well as an awareness of trends and directions in emerging technologies.

Min Year Exp:
6 years of Program/Project Management, Assurance and/or Consulting experience
Min Degree(s) and Certifications:
BA or BS Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a business related field, as well as having obtained either a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) professional designation.
