Risk Auditor Tier 1 IB c£90k recruitment
My Client, a Tier 1 Investment Bank, are looking for a VP Credit Risk Internal Auditor with strong IT skills, to work across the bank and act as an SME to the wider operational audit team. The role, to be based in London, has very high visibility and horizontal scope across all credit functions - so you will consult with the majority of the senior stakeholders within the Bank. This is a superb opportunity to network; 4 people from this team have moved within the business over the last 2 years.
The successful candidate will have a Credit Risk background, maybe as a Credit Risk Business Analyst, and be able to work closely with the operational business audit teams, and many senior MD's within the front office. (Some Market Risk skills would be an advantage.)
It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of IRBA/IRB or Advanced Risk Management skills, and have exposure to Basel 2.5 Basel 3. Knowledge of Investment Banking Credit Products such as Fixed Income, Rates, Bonds, Repos, Derivatives etc is also very important. Equally your communication skills, both written and verbal, must be superb - as you will be required to sway and influence senior stakeholders and add value across the whole of the Investment Bank. Strong IT skills are required, although only 10% of the role - the position sits functionally within the IT Risk Finance Audit team, but predominantly reports to the Credit Risk Audit team. So a good understanding of credit rsik systems/applications is key.
Given the scope and the influence of the role you will help to educate people across the business about the Credit Risk, and will predominantly be involved in 'consultancy' and senior management relationship management, so Filed work would only represent 50% of the role.
