Job Scope
Primary Role:
- Lead, manage and deliver BCM workstream programs for Hong Kong and oversee China’s BCM program along with other North Asia locations.
- Manage relationship with management, businesses, infrastructure and vendors.
- Be a risk manager to identify and mitigate risk to business continuity and raise the level of readiness and resilience of DB operations in Hong Kong China
Secondary Role:
- Assist with coordination of Corporate Security and anti-fraud activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the key relationship manager and risk advisor to business and infrastructure units for BCM functions
- Provide hub-base BCM competencies, strategies, programs and initiatives across APAC
- Assess business impact on threats identified by Protective Intelligence source in conjunction with the business and communicate threat to business.
- Execute a risk-based business process resumption strategy for Deutsche Bank business and infrastructure functions, and outsourcing to achieve continuous improvement by proactively adapting to the changing risk environment, business requirements technical changes.
- Implement and rollout BCM programs such as policy and standards, business continuity readiness planning / revision, process implementation, best practice analysis and development of recovery solutions.
- Develop and execute training for business, infrastructure, and vendors.
- Maintain MIS reporting which includes: (i) measure of BCM readiness, (ii) recoverability capability and resilience and (iii) residual risk.
- Recovery site management
- Project-manage and implement firm-wide exercise/test programs including crisis management, functional, business recovery, IT disaster recovery sites test etc
- Coordinate the firm’s response during a crisis (Crisis Management).
- Ensure compliance with financial regulatory and audit requirements
Skills / Experience Required
- Educated to Degree level
- English fluency required and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is a plus.
- Approximately 5 to 7 years of crisis management and business continuity management experience will be required (Regulator or Financial Institution preferred); candidates with a strong background in a relevant discipline will also be considered.
- Strong presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Investment banking knowledge and experience preferred
- Highly self-motivated for CSBC work and able to work unsupervised – proactive without being prompted.
- Must be hands-on and ready to handle administrative tasks such as crisis response documentation and manage the BCM lifecycle.
- Some travel may be required (up to 25%)
