My client, a leading global Private Bank, is currently looking for a Risk Manager to join their Chief Operating Office. The role will cover all operational activity, with a keen focus on Risk and Business Management. This is a key hire for my client, and presents an excellent opportunity for a commercially-focused risk professional who aspires to be a COO.
This position will have complete oversight of the banking, credit and treasury functions within the Bank. With the risk framework in mind, the post-holder will deliver a best in class business management model across these functions, balancing the commercial and responsible governance perspectives. This role will also be a key relationship holder within the Bank, engaging senior stakeholders across HR, Operations, Finance, and Risk, and will represent the COO on various committees and forums.
Through these relationships, this position would successfully allocate ownership of risks and control responsibilities to the relevant business areas, depending on the business structure and plan. Working closely with the Product Managers and Product Governance teams, this individual will play an integral part in the new product approvals process, shaping the Bank’s offering to market.
My client is therefore looking for someone with a proven track record within Risk or Business Management, in tandem with extensive Wealth / Private Banking experience. A background in Credit Derivatives, Banking and Treasury is also necessary, with candidates able to demonstrate deep and broad expertise in these areas.
