Risk & Control Governance Analyst recruitment

A leading Investment Bank has opened up a new and exciting role as a Risk Control Governance Analyst looking at Balance Sheet Integrity role. You will Target Operating Model to enhance controls in relation to the corporate new products process. You will need solid communication skills, good interpersonal skills and to be an exceptional team player.

Role/Responsibilities

- Take full ownership of current balance sheet substantiation process for global operations

- Own all reporting for asset at risk process including full trending analysis

- Ensure that key root causes and control gaps are closed from the deep dives - serve as a catalyst to drive control changes and provide clear transparency to valid effectiveness of our controls around balance sheet integrity

- Partner with the Risk Control Officers to build a strong balance sheet control framework to assess and manage risk.

- Engage with all asset class risk Controllers their key control issues by participating in their control meetings.

- Own the Operations Governance Infrastructure and Target Operating Model to enhance controls in relation to the corporate New Products process

- Engage global New Product teams and work to build out governance model on a global basis ensuring best practice

- Credit Crisis Risk Management - Development and implementation of an effective process and model for Credit Crisis reporting to ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness for Ops by partnering with Credit.

- Setting Credit Crisis Best Practice guidelines. Partner with the Risk Controllers in the Line to embed good practice controls within Operations culture and drive changes towards best practice.

- Run Gap assessment between best practise guidelines and current state framework for Credit Crisis. Once gaps identified establish remediation plan according to risk level and own close out of gaps.

- Ensure that key root causes and control gaps are closed from the deep dives - serve as a catalyst to drive control changes and provide clear transparency to valid effectiveness of our controls

- Partner with the Risk Control Officers to build a strong incident credit crisis control framework to assess and manage risk.

Skills

- Qualified accountant or equivalent

- Degree level or equivalent

- Experience in internal audit, control assessment, process effectiveness

- Good operational Risk background with good product knowledge

- Strong experience in banking, risk management, internal audit

- Strong experience with Investment banking and internal control

- Investment Banking Product specific operations experience
