Risk Control Manager, Ops Control recruitment

 Main Responsibilities

MIS REPORTING - Perform the daily, weekly monthly Operations MIS reporting functions (recs breaks and oversight, trade settlement volumes, KRIs etc.) and assist with the enhancement automation of MIS production including weekly and monthly dashboard reporting, commentary analysis. Design and publish new reports as required by Ops management

KEY RISKS REPORTING - Collate and publish the monthly dashboards of Operations Key risk performance indicators and conduct monthly control analysis to ensure all indicators are reported, reviewed and escalated with narratives supplied and action plans updated. Review and sanity check all narrations to ensure these are unambiguous and in accordance with agreed standards. Assist with periodic reviews (minimum annual) of Ops key risk indicators to ensure these correspond to high residual risks identified on risk maps

OPERATIONAL RISK REPORTING – Report all Operations’ risk incidents the tracking of actions arising and perform the annual certification process for Operations MCPs the facilitation of the ongoing maintenance of the associated MCP risk maps

RISK CONTROL - Perform in-depth risk control analysis of the underlying risks attached to Ops functions and implement intraday monitoring of high risk processes including root cause analysis of reconciliation breaks, non-receipts, outstanding confirmations etc. Co-ordinate weekly meetings with Asia Ops Managers chaired by Head of Asia Ops, publish meeting minutes monitor progress to achieve timely resolution of issues. Hold a video conference between Singapore and London Risk Control on fortnightly basis to discuss any risk related issue

RISK MANUAL PROCESS ATTESTATIONS - Collate regular (minimum quarterly) risk attestation and manual process reviews from all Operations risk owners maintain actions log to track progress in closing open issues

AUDIT, COMPLIANCE OP RISK ACTIONS TRACKING - Assist with the reporting and tracking of audit, compliance and operational risk actions points to ensure ownership is assigned and remedial actions completed closed within agreed timeframes

General Responsibilities

Ensure all functions are performed in accordance with procedures and update checklists on a daily basis

Escalate any issues, delays or non-compliance with procedures to the Head of Singapore Ops and London Ops Control same day

Build trading and investment banking products knowledge through on the job learning, working with functional teams and reviewing functional procedures, completing relevant Intuition courses and external training as required

The jobholder may be required to assist with any ad-hoc requests outside of their daily functions including cross-training for / with other functions within Operations Control

Actively participate in training and development programme including use of the Bank’s Intuition e-learning process to develop knowledge to ensure no ‘single points of failure’

Pro-actively review own function procedures within the Working Instructions templates at least annually

Deal professionally with ad-hoc enquiries from other areas of the Bank
