Risk COO Office – Risk/Business Management
This team is the first port of call for the most senior management within this Bank which makes it a very strategically important group. The team provides aggregate MI, challenge and oversight for all key risk trends within the Bank. You will help to develop, facilitate and communicate the implementation of strategic and operational decisions both internally and externally.
This is a very well regarded team so candidates will have to have proven presentation and communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing and co-ordinating senior stakeholder reporting
- Preparing fortnightly quantitative reporting, including the headline risk metrics dashboard, on key risk issues, using metrics reported by the relevant subject matter experts and risk leadership.
- Liaising with MD and Director level stakeholders to obtain current risk metrics and trends
- Running an effective and efficient process to ensure clear milestones for reporting ahead, including milestones to ensure appropriate review and sign off
- Reviewing key trends and risk issues
- Adapting all outputs in line with feedback and guidance received from senior stakeholders
Skills required:
- A demonstrated record of running a large scale process - setting clear deadlines / syndication milestones and planning ahead for the regular reporting cycle
- Detail oriented - identifying specific changes required and rapidly learning the detail of the reporting and key metrics
- Strong quantitative capability / good feel for numbers
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Solid qualitative and quantitative problem solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand and structure ambiguous questions
- A strong academic track record
- Fluency with MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Word, Sharepoint
- Experience may include strong performance in financial or risk reporting, accounting, consulting or banking
