Risk / Legal Manager – Legal Entity recruitment

My client, a financial institution based in Brussels, is looking for a legal risk manager.

As a legal risk manager you would be responsible for independent risk management for legal entity related matters. The Risk Manager manages and prepares the SA/NV legal entity’s risk reporting, and will take responsibility for driving the identification and assessment of legal entity specific risks.

In addition to the legal entity duties, the Risk Manager will assist with Line of Business Operational Risk Management to help ensure that risks are effectively managed and company's policies are adopted by the SA/NV and implemented throughout the Branches. The incumbent will assist the business with analysis, expertise, and problem solving as well as provide oversight.

- Ability to multi-task and work independently on initiatives
- Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a professional, problem solving approach
- Strong judgment and business knowledge to enable discretionary decisions re-escalation of issues and risk mitigation solutions
- Ability to interact confidently with senior management
- University degree and at least 8 years experience including audit, finance, or risk management experience in an established financial services or investment management organization or at a top tier accountancy firm with a specialization in financial industry engagements.
- Languages: Fluent English plus German, and French / Dutch
