Risk Management Analyst – Chicago recruitment

Position Description:
Analyze and monitor CME Clearing’s credit exposure to various counterparties including clearing members, settlement and custodial banks, collateral issuers, and collateral depositories. Participate in due diligence meetings of counterparties.

Carry out credit policy vis-à-vis clearing members, bank relationships, and collateral policy. Support team with the renewal of CME Clearing’s credit facility and other liquidity programs. Maintain and enhance relationships with CME’s Line of Credit banks and other capital providers. Evaluation of new forms of collateral and new methods of collateralizing credit and risk exposures, as well as ongoing review of collateral haircuts and limits.

Conduct and present ad-hoc analysis of institutions and topics of interest to senior management. Support a broad range of projects which may be of market risk in nature, new product initiatives, new partnership proposals, and/or systems development.

Qualifications:
The position requires relevant experience through education or work in financial statement and/or credit risk analysis with the ability to engage in a wide range of projects. Requirements of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: undergraduate degree, preferably in Finance; demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills; and the ability to work flexibly in a team environment.
Expertise in Microsoft Office and the ability to work with a variety of complex systems are highly desired. The successful candidate must also possess strong oral and written communication skills. Futures or options industry knowledge or experience is a plus.
