The GRU Risk Management team reports into the GRU Global Head and supports the UBS Group as a centre of competence for reconciliations services provided to all business groups and Corporate Centre units.
The team plays a key part in establishing and maintaining documented, controlled and compliant reconciliation processes to ensure a consistent, uniform and transparent approach to client coverage, service delivery
and cost allocation under clear accountability. It is critical that the successful candidate can demonstrate the ability to detect risks to the GRU and UBS Group proactively, formulate and position the risk
and propose sensible and practical risk mitigation action within a robust control framework and in line with Operations' strategic objectives. Evidenced by strong project management and analytical
skills, the candidate should be able to operate effectively irrespective of physical or functional boundaries and is expected to build and maintain key relationships with Operations, Risk and Business
stakeholders.

In close partnership with the global JRU process leads and Offshore operations, the focus of the role will be:

identifying, assessing, prioritizing and reporting/remediation of risks
implementing and mainting the group ORF2 risk control framework
promoting best practice across GRU globally and raising risk awareness
ownership and maintenance of GRU user application control framework
ownership and maintenance of GRU crisis management and BCM framework
point contact for auditors and UBS risk functions

It is expected that together with the Head of GRU Risk Management and counterparts in the other regions, risk-mitigating and control related changes are actively driven and implemented. To support this, the role requires
building and maintaining key relationships with (senior) Operations, ORG, ORC, Finance, Business and Risk clients and stakeholders to aid the development and maintenance of the GRU risk framework.

Commercial Apprenticeship in Banking (Federal Diploma) and Bachelors/Masters Degree in Business Administration
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Project management skills as an enabler to structure and plan tasks
Holds proven Operations processing experience, Understands Operational risk
Has details F2B process knowledge across at least one of the two major settlement streams (Treasury or Securities)
Has an in dept knowledge of reconciliations and associated controls
Has a strong analytical skill set, advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong team-player who is able to lead/inspire people, ble to network/influence at senior management level
Demonstrates drive and commitment, ability to work with a diverse number of people/functions.
