POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Senior Sales Specialist to develop and manage new business with East Coast Hedge Funds. The ideal candidate will have an exceptional understanding of the hedge fund industry and hedge fund strategies, as well as a proficient understanding of risk management analytics.

The role entails positioning and licensing MSCI’s (RiskMetrics) market leading Risk Solutions to prospective hedge fund and managed account clients.

This is a highly visible role, with ownership in all aspects of a Client/Prospect account including C- level relationship management, building a pipeline of new business opportunities, in-depth discussions regarding MSCI’s (RiskMetrics) methodology, commercial fee and contract negotiations, surpassing sales targets, product setup and delivery, and ongoing education of the enhancements and evolution of how our solutions are leveraged in the Alternative Investment community.

The role requires team oriented individuals who will work very closely with Global Client Service, Client Consultants, Marketing, Product Management, and Legal departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Total Relationship Management involving:

* C-Level Management Contact
* Developing a Sales Pipeline
* Strategic Planning with an Account
* Achieve targeted revenue goals
* Work with other departments (Global Sales Specialists, Client Service, Legal, Contracts, Billing, etc) to ensure that all client requests / inquiries are managed appropriately
* Maintain accurate records regarding account visits, client conversations, finalized contracts, etc.
* Proactively solicit client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product development
* Provide feedback from clients to Marketing, Sales, Research and Product Development groups

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

* Superior communication and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
* Strong Sales Experience (Identify Target Market, Call on C-Level Decision Makers, Present the Firm’s Value Proposition, Surpass Sales Targets).
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills
* Understanding of / experience dealing with Hedge Funds and/or Hedge Fund Investors
* A self starter and highly motivated; ability to work individually and within a team
* Minimum of 3-5 years direct sales experience with a proven record of accomplishment.
* 5-10 years of experience in the financial service industry
* Bachelor’s Degree Required…Advanced Degrees Charter Designations a plus
