A leading Retail Banking brand seeks talented Risk Managers to lead and develop a team of modelling and analytical experts to build and
deliver industry leading Retail Credit Risk models using statistical techniques.
Responsibilities include:
-Manage a team of analysts and senior analysts to ensure that their contribution to the business is optimised and that staff are motivated and developed to their maximum potential whilst avoiding key skill dependencies
-Work with business stakeholders to prepare business cases and resource plans for individual developments
-Have expert knowledge of all relevant regulatory and legislative constraints
-Be an innovator of new cutting edge practices and share innovations on all aspects of technical developments and analytics
-Provide technical leadership to team; share knowledge and learnings and increase technical/statistical standards
-Oversee the scoping, design, development, validation and implementation aspects of developments, using innovative approaches and exploring the use of new technical/statistical methods
Skills and experience required:
-Extensive experience in the development and use of risk models in Retail Banking
-Expert knowledge of modern risk management techniques within Retail Banking
-Experienced in the extraction and manipulation of data to support risk model development, e.g.defining observation periods, outcome periods, choosing a suitable "bad" definition, for scorecard models, and equivalent experience for other modelling approaches
-Experience of managing multiple projects and stakeholder relationships effectively
-A high level of creativity, drive, innovation and initiative - a self starter
