Risk Manager – Commodity Trading recruitment

With offices across the globe, our Client is now expanding their Singapore office
We are currently seeking a talented and driven professional to join our Client as a Risk Manager for their Trading Business (Crude and Products). Giving value adding risk management advice to the group as well as other senior stakeholders and managers.
You will be working with the firm’s trading and finance functions to ensure a robust compliance and controls environment as well as monitoring and providing guidance on credit, operational and market risk.
You will perform in-depth risk analyses on transactions, as such proven knowledge of derivatives and the modelling of risks of various commodities markets is essential. You will be tasked with enhancing risk measurement and be involved in liaison with internal and external auditors and regulators in discussions on polices and procedures.
Intrinsic to this role will be a high level of interaction with individual traders and business heads, as such, highly developed interpersonal skills are mandatory.
Additionally, you will also be required to partner with Operations and Technology Groups to drive process improvement and re-engineering initiatives forward.
In order to be considered for this role you will have:
- Minimum 10 years Experience (Commodity Trading Risk Management Experience Mandatory)
- Solid Understanding of LNG and Oil Trading
- Degree and/or Professional Qualifications
- Knowledge of Derivative Products
- Experience with Change Management and/or Projects
- Ability to Perform in a High Pressure Environment
- Highly Developed Interpersonal Skills.
