Tyler Capital is a technology-driven City based proprietary trading group which has achieved highly impressive results year on year.  It is at the forefront of financial trading systems development and has at its disposal a team of highly skilled developers, traders, analysts and a management team with a vast amount of experience in this sector.

We have an interesting opportunity for a highly technical risk manager to join the team to oversee all market risk related activities in conjunction with developing new risk strategies and approaches. This is a hands-on role which would suit a risk analyst who wants to take their career to the next stage.

Working closely with all parts of the business, you will have the opportunity to apply your technical and mathematical expertise and full understanding of market risks and systems to develop, manage and administer company risk policy; assist in the development of new trading ideas and strategies by designing and developing associated risk measures and carrying out risk analyses; investigate and analyse new markets and new trading approaches from a risk management perspective;  contribute to company strategy and direction from risk management perspective; develop and manage risk systems; set and administer group and individual trade limits..

To be considered for this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

-          Excellent VB and Matlab or similar high level development language, proven technical skills developing own risk systems; Deep understanding of financial services processes, systems, products and markets.

-          Strong Bachelor’s degree (Economics, Business Management, Finance or other related subject);

-          Experience in development and management of risk systems; working in market risk, risk monitoring or trading; working within financial services.

The role requires a high degree of flexibility and willingness to take on new and changing responsibilities as and when required.
